How to Capture a Natural Smile…

Capturing a natural smile is what I hope I do best when photographing a wedding. Here is a beautiful little short movie about a parking attendant who can just make everyone smile, and who captures it all on film. Enjoy…

Charming Cornwall Wedding

Well, the wedding album has been delivered, and how delighted the couple were. I wasn’t sure if it was a wedding gift or a christmas present, but the couple were elated. Here are just a few spreads from their wedding album.

The venue was Frentafriddle in Cornwall, a beautiful place for a wedding or even a glamorous week away. The brides dress was from Chichester based wedding boutique Proposals.

Congratulations again Andrew & Jennifer, I may I wish you a prosperous married life together.

December Wedding in Cornwall

Well, as everyone else prepared for Christmas, I had the great pleasure of attending the wedding of Andrew and Jennifer Hinton’s Wedding at Fentafriddle very near to Trebarwith Strand. Winter weddings can sometimes create a challenge for a wedding photographer, with little or low, high contrast natural light, and of course the wet and wild weather which we have experienced for the past two months here in the UK.

However, Cornwall on the 12th of December provided us with perfect weather conditions, and Andrew and Jennifer’s family and friends made this a wonderful wedding to finish 2009 with. I am currently working on the design of the album and looking forward to presenting it to them and you here. But as a taster here is just one image of the stunning view that we all enjoyed from the venue through out the day.

Do visit this blog again soon to see more pictures and page spreads from the wedding album.

Wedding Entrance with a Difference

Every wedding I have attended has always had a special something to make it that bit different. But having just found this video on You Tube, I think we Brits can still learn a little bit about showmanship  from our neighbours in the US of A. It might not be for you, but I bet it was fun to see on the day. Watch and enjoy…

Winter Wedding at West Stoke House, Chichester

Just because it’s not the middle of summer, there is no reason not to have a wedding now! Which is just what Louise & Neil did this month. (Well in a cold and wet October). It’s the people who make the sun shine and make real wedding party!

Set in the beautiful country side north of Chichester, Neil and Louise invited their family and friends to join them at West Stoke House for their wedding. I was delighted to be invited as the wedding photographer. The venue is one of the best in Sussex, with eight beautiful rooms for bride and groom and the guests to stay in, with elegant reception rooms to hold the wedding service, reception, dinner and party.

Here are just a few pictures from their wedding album.

Wonderful Hampshire Wedding

As the wedding season slows down a little for the winter and Christmas season, I now have the opportunity to update my blog. Looking back over the year I have been so fortunate to attend such beautiful weddings in wonderful locations, both locally in Sussex and Hampshire and further afield in Holland. One of which was Anna and Marks Percival wedding at St Peter’s Church in Titchfield, and afterwards for the reception at New Place House a little further north in Hampshire.

Here are just a few spreads from their bespoke wedding album.

With Anna’s background in design, everything was beautiful colour co-ordinated and look absolutely stunning. The couple and their guests filled the venues and the atmosphere was wonderful.

A Dutch Wedding

Not only have I been lucky enough to cover weddings at beautiful venues across the south of England, but also to cross the water to Holland to cover the wedding of a beautiful couple. Starting at the couples home as they prepared, before moving on to a beautiful greenhouse restaurant surround by gardens, on the warmest day of the year.

The couple and their friends looked fantastic, and I can only hope that I might have the opportunity to cover other weddings in Holland or other destinations in Europe… or even further a field!

I would like to thank Frank & Olijf for their invitation to cover their wedding and wish them the best for the future and their growing family.

The Paola Wedding at Grittenham Barn

Wow, what a wedding! I’d heard Australians knew how to party, and this wedding just proved the point. The atmosphere was fantastic and all those attending really contributed to making it a wedding to remember. In addition the bride and groom came straight from the covers of a fashion magazine and it was a pleasure to spend the day with them photographing their special day.

Tamsin’s wedding dress was supplied by the fantastic wedding boutique “Truly Gorgeous” in central Chichester.

As a start to married life, I can’t imagine of a better start. Here are just a few pictures from the day. All the best to you both.
